Goodby, Silverstein & Partners Joins Twitter
Ad agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners recently entered the wonderful world of Twitter. To introduce themselves to the land of 140 characters or less, they created this video:
The video is an obvious play off of what sometimes goes in to building an advertising campaign. It made me chuckle. It also hits on a point that they may or may not have intended on displaying.
Advertising is going through a culture shift. The digital and social media world isn’t just a fad but a major change in how brands communicate with customers. Advertising methods that worked 20, 10, or even 5 years ago may not be the best fit for the current landscape.
GSP’s video shows that you can’t always use traditional ways of thinking when dealing with social media. Even though they are a bit late to the party, at least they showed up.
Better late than never, because at some point soon if you are late, you will have a tough time catching up.
